The Laogai Research Foundation (LRF) is a non-profit established in 1992 by human rights advocate Harry Wu to gather information and spread public awareness about Chinese labor camps. Since its inception LRF has expanded its focus to expose other human rights violations in China such as the death penalty, organ harvesting from prisoners, the one-child policy, and persecution of religious believers.
LRF is seeking to fulfill the position of Assistant to the Directors. The incumbent will work closely with the Executive Director and Director on projects and will perform various administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, excellent writing, editing and communication skills, and an interest in human rights issues. Fluency in English a must, some knowledge of the Chinese language a plus.
